Corps Commanders hope for early intra Afghan dialogue during their 234th sitting held at GHQ Rawalpindi.

Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa presided over the Corps Commanders’ Conference.

The forum discussed geo-strategic and national security issues.

The forum also reviewed situation at LOC, Pak-Afghan border and internal security environment.

It appreciated the progress of Afghan Reconciliation Process and hoped for early commencement of intra Afghan dialogue.

The COAS expressed satisfaction on operational preparedness of formations and appreciated efforts in aid of civil administration to contain COVID-19 pandemic and Locust threat.

The COAS emphasized to exercise vigilance and take proactive measures in the wake of ongoing flood situation.

Meanwhile, Pakistan condemned extra judicial killings of Kashmiris in fake encounters in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

In this regard, Foreign Office issued a statement today.

The FO said these condemnable crimes against Kashmiri youth by Indian occupation forces are being perpetrated with complete impunity, under the cover of draconian laws.

Furthermore, it said killings of innocent Kashmiris and destruction of their properties is a part of “Hindutva” agenda of RSS-BJP.
The FO called this agenda an attempt to target defenseless Kashmiris with mindless violence and perpetuating collective punishment to break their will.
