US, Israel and Turkey responsible for the recent destruction of Syria’s oil pipelines: Russian paper

A leading Russian newspaper took the US, Israel and Turkey responsible for the recent destruction of Syria’s oil pipelines in Eastern Mediterranean.

The Arabic-language website of RT quoted the Russian Eurasia Daily newspaper as reporting that the images released after the destruction of oil pipelines near Syria’s Baniyas refinery in the Mediterranean show that they have not been destroyed accidentally and were blown away.

The report added that given the importance of this pipeline which transfers crude to Baniyas refinery as Syria’s main source of energy, Israel or the US have embarked on sabotage acts against it.

It also said that Turkey is also one of the suspects behind the blasts to retaliate the Syrian army attacks on regions occupied by Ankara in Idlib.

Syria’s oil pipeline in the Eastern Mediterranean came under attack recently.

At least five oil pipelines were attacked over the weekend; however, no group has claimed responsibility.

“We were informed yesterday about an oil leak off Baniyas. Specialist divers of the Syrian oil company investigated it and found traces of external damage on five pipelines,” the Syrian Oil Ministry said in a statement on Sunday
