Bahrain al-Khalifa Authorities Assault the Home of the Leader of Al-Wifaq AssociationThe Bahraini Al-Wifaq Association (National Accord Association) announced that “the security forces surrounded the house of the Secretary-General of the Al-Wifaq Association Ali Salman and asked him to get out of his house.”

The association stressed that “a number of house windows were broken due to gun shots by the security forces.”
The former MP and member of the association, Khalil Marzouq, told “Radio Sawa” the details of the situation and said: “a bit earlier, there was a shooting at the house of Secretary-General Sheikh Ali Salman which resulted in breaking some windows and the glass of his car in addition to other cars and houses in the area. The security forces and intelligence personnel in civilian clothing were quarreling with the Secretary-General, but they retreated later on to an area far from his home.”
Al-Marzouq confirmed that “other areas witnessed a similar escalation”, and added that “many areas have seen severe cases of suppression, there is a critical security escalation, and today the Minister of Interior is talking about 1235 marches that were suppressed after the Salama case, in other words after the first of June.”
