Muqtada Sadr condemns American interference in Iraq

Noted Shia cleric Syed Muqtada al-Sadr, the head of the Sadr Movement, spoke with a Kurdish website and said that America interferes in internal Iraqi policies more than any other country. He added: “America illegally interferes in Iraqi internal politics.”  The head of the Sadr Movement announced that Washington has increased its interference in internal Iraqi issues.

The head of the Sadr Movement once again expressed his opposition to the return of Ba’athist elements in Iraq. He said that they were tapeworms which must be destroyed. At the end of the interview he said:  “I support all groups who oppose occupation.”
