GIRL CHAILDIt is for more than one year that Bahraini forces raiding hundreds of houses by firing toxic gas in different parts of the country.

Meanwhile Bahraini opposition groups, a major demonstration is scheduled to be staged in the capital on Friday. Bahrainis took to the streets of the capital Manama on Wednesday, holding the pictures of jailed pro-democracy activists and chanting slogans against King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

On November 30, several anti-regime demonstrators were injured or arrested after Bahraini security forces attacked peaceful protests in villages around Manama.

The Saudi-backed forces fired tear gas, buckshot and stun grenades to disperse the demonstrators.

The protests were held in response to a call by the February 14 Youth Coalition. They protested against a blockage that has been imposed on the district of Mahazza, near the capital, since November 7.

Bahrain has witnessed regular anti-regime protests following a popular revolution in the island nation in February 2011. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates sent security and military forces to the neighboring country upon a request from Manama to help the Bahraini government quash the peaceful protests.

Dozens of people have been killed in the crackdown, and the security forces have arrested hundreds, including doctors and nurses accused of treating injured revolutionaries.

Despite the Al Khalifa regime’s ban on all demonstrations and public gatherings across the state, Bahraini protesters say they remain resolute to continue demonstrations until their demands for the establishment of a democratically elected government are met.
