India Shias stage protest against Shia killings in Pakistan

shia indiaThousands of Shia Muslims of Indian Province Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow staged a protest rally against what they called ongoing genocide of members of Shia community in the neighbouring country, Pakistan on Tuesday (17th December).
Enraged protesters chanted slogans against Pakistan government and Pakistan army for their failure to stop genocide of Shia Muslims and bomb attacks on Shia Musilms of Pakistan by Pakistan Intelligence agencies sponsored Takfiri Deobandi terrorists.
Led by noted cleric and spokesperson of the All India Shia Personal Law Board, Maulana Yasoob Abbas, Shia Muslims took out a rally in the Uttar Pradesh capital.
Shia Muslims later staged a sit-in before the state assembly and burnt pictures of Paksitan Army Chief General Kayani, and Ahmed Ludnianvi (chief of banned terrorists outfit Sipah-e-Sabhaba (Yazeed). .
Speaking on the occasion, Maulana Yasoob Abbas lamented that Shias of Pakistan were facing harassment, persecution and genocide in Pakistan and the government there was not concerned about their plight. Abbas also condemned the links between Pakistan army, spy agency ISI in particular, and Deobandi Jihadist groups (Sipah Sahaba and Taliban).
Calling for an end to the killings, he advocated stern punishment for those responsible involved in the genocide of Shiite Muslims in Pakistan.
Slamming Pakistani Government over targeted killings of Shia Muslims, Yasoob said since the time of Pakistan Military dictator President Ayub the Pakistan government promoted such people and terrorists organizations which had religious and sectarian hatred as their agenda.
As the reign of Zia-ul-Haq began, the terrorist organizations started killing Shias, Sunni’s, Hindus and Sikhs in broad daylight.

“We have sent a memorandum to Prime Minister over the issue asking to intervene and build pressure on Pakistan to curb targeted killings,” said media in charge, AISPLB, Ali Meesum Husain.

The rally was carried out from Nakkhas towards Vidhan Sabha against the anti-Shia and anti-minorities policy of Pakistan. The rally was also attended by a small number of Sunni Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs and Christians who condemned Pakistan army’s support to Deobandi militant groups.
