Karbala Is a Living Movement, Martyrs in the Cause of Truth Carry Forward Imam Hussain’s Mission: Maulana Mukhtar Ahmed Imami
Shiite News: A three-day annual central farewell mourning assembly began in Karachi last night, organized jointly by the Eastern District chapter of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, Dua Committee Pakistan, and residents of Soldier Bazaar, marking the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hasan al-Askari (AS) and the return of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) to Medina. The first gathering was held on Khurasan Road, where Maulana Mukhtar Ahmed Imami delivered a speech titled “The Karbala of Our Era and Our Responsibilities.”
Maulana Mukhtar Ahmed Imami said that Karbala is not merely a historical event but a living movement and ideology that continues to serve as a guiding light for those who stand for truth. He said that the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of truth are carrying forward the mission of Imam Hussain (AS), adding that although the path of the martyrs is difficult, it is a path of honor. He said the motto of the true followers of Imam Hussain (AS) is that an honorable death is better than a life of humiliation.
He emphasized that Islam reached subsequent generations through the sacrifices of Imam Hussain (AS), saying that the easier option for the Imam would have been to remain silent, but he chose the most difficult path and rose against injustice.
