Iraqi President Talabani and Hakeem stress importance to implement political agreements

A statement issued on Sunday, June 5, by the President’s Office said, “Talabani met on Sunday evening with Hakeem discussing the general situation in the country and its political situation, as well as means to bring together the political forces toward reaching suitable solutions to outstanding issues that hinder joint work.”

It added, “Talabani and Hakeem asserted the importance of implementing agreements reached between political blocs, toward pushing the political process forward, and the necessity to fulfill vacant ministerial posts to enable the government provide basic services to the public, as well as providing security and stability in the country.”
