10,000 cops in Karbala to secure holy City

shiitenews_10000_cops_in_Karbala_to_secure_holy_City Karbala’s Police Director disclosed that the total number of cops in the city has reached 10,000, but there is a need for female cops during religious events.

General Ali Zuwaini informed Aswat al-Iraq that there is no shortage in policemen, but the province is still under terrorist attacks which try to use the religious events to implement their schemes.

“We have about 800 female cops, but we need 200 more”, he added.

The female element is important because al-Qaeda organization often uses women in suicidal operations or to transport explosives”, he pointed out.

Karbala lies 108 km south of the capital, Baghdad.
