Renowned Shia scholar and deputy secretary general of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi has said that enemies are scared of religio-political identity of Shia Muslims because Shia political ideology is tantamount to death of takfiris.

“Unity of Muslims is the motto of our struggle and we always made sacrifices for the unity of Muslims despite the loss of several lives,” he said speaking at the martyrdom anniversary of three eminent figures of MWM Karachi who embraced martyrdom in a targeted attack. They were: Martyrs Alam Hazara, Ali Shah and Safdar Abbas.
Allama Hassan Zafar said that political war was a long war and this is fought peacefully and painstakingly and many people give up due to fatigue. He said that martyrs Alam Hazara, Safdar Abbas and Ali Shah were electoral contestants belonging to the MWM and they wanted to fight this electoral battle in the local council elections but they were assassinated because enemies fear Shia Muslims presence in the electoral battles.
He said that martyrdoms for the sake of legitimate pious goals, is a way of Prophets, Apostles and their successors. He said that steadfastness under the banner of political leadership of infallible Imam and bearing witness to their political leadership is very much difficult.
