Quds Day rally was staged in Karachi on Friday to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine.
Thousands of people including females and children attended the rally. They began marching from Numaish Chowrangi to Tibet Centre. They were carrying banners and placards and flags of Palestine and Hezbollah.
They raised slogans against the United States, Israel and their allies. They vowed to shed last drop of blood for the sake of liberation of Palestine.
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, Haiyat-e-Aimma Masajid wa Ulema-e-Imamia, Imamia Students Organization, Imamia Organization, Tehrik-e-Azadi-e-Quds and Asgharia Organisation had appealed to all Pakistanis to observe International Quds Day on Friday with unity and enthusiasm.
Allama Mirza Youfusf Hussain, Allama Baqar Abbas Zaidi, Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi, Dr Meraj ul Huda Siddiqi and Athar Imran spoke at the rally.
They said that observance of Quds Day was a must to mark solidarity and support to the oppressed Palestinians. They said that all residents of Karachi participated in the Quds Day’s main rally from Numaish Chowrangi to Tibet Centre.
They asserted that Palestine problem is the cardinal problem of Muslim Ummah. They said that Israel is the enemy of all Muslims because Zionists want to destroy Muslim nations and annex their land in their Zionist project.
They said that Palestinians were suffering from unmatched problems and grievances since the 1940s when Zionist terrorists grabbed their land and imposed an illegitimate state on them. They said that Palestinians were forced to leave their homeland to become refugees for decades through massacre, violence and torture.
They said that all Palestinians including around 6 million refugees have right to return their homeland and live there for good. They said that international community should desist from hypocritical role vis-Ã -vis Palestinians. They said that legitimate national resistance of Palestinians and Lebanese should not be maligned and should not be defamed through media trial.
They praised the revolutionary leader (late) Imam Khomeini for his statement armed resistance to Zionist occupation was the sole way to liberate Palestine. They appreciated Imam Khomeini and Imam Khamenei for observance of global Quds Day on the last Friday of Ramazan because these leaders called for Quds Day in the holiest month of Islamic calendar and Shab-e-Qadr also falls in this month.
They appreciated the Shia-Sunni unity at the rally as Dr Meraj ul Huda Siddiqi of Jamaat-e-Islami condemned the attack on the holy shrine of Hazrat Zainab (AS) in Syria and said that terrorist attack was an attack on both Shia and Sunni.
The speakers backed the armed resistance to Israeli occupation and said that enemies left no option for them.
