Success of Wahdat Social Media team, Express News apologized

Shiite News: After the strong protests of Wahdat Social Media Team (WSMT) against Ahmed Qureshi’s program of 3rd January on Express News, the channel has apologized for hurting the feelings of Shias.

According to information, Express News’ management said that they apologize for hurting peoples’ sentiments due to 3rd January’s program and that they do not agree with the view presented in the program. They had also taken required measure in this regard.

Ahmed Qureshi was strongly criticized for declaring Sheikh Baqar al Nimr a terrorist in his program and social media users registered their protests on Twitter and other social networking websites. In addition to this, WSMT also contacted overseas Pakistanis and asked them to make protesting phone calls to Express News’ owner and to Ahmed Qureshi. After the public reaction, Express News has apologized.

Express News needs to clean its media outlet from three people i.e. Ahmed Qureshi, Molana Tahir Ashrafi and Aurya Maqbool Jan because they have been spreading religious differences and thus threatening Pakistan’s stability. If Express News’ owner Sultan Lakhani finds himself unable to do so then he would also be considered as the partner in the crime.
