The Management of the Strait of Hormuz Will Never Be as It Was Before the War: Iranian Foreign Minister

Shiite News: Iranian Foreign Minister Syed Abbas Araghchi has said that after the US-Zionist aggression against Iran, nothing will remain as it was before, and the management of the Strait of Hormuz will also not return to the era before the war. He said this while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Documentation Center and Museum of the martyred diplomat Kamal Kharazi.

Araghchi said that for decades the Strait of Hormuz remained open, and its coastal countries Iran and Oman did not impose any restrictions on maritime transit but rather helped in maintaining security and protecting the maritime environment; however, the current war has changed everything and new realities have emerged.

The Iranian Foreign Minister said that the maritime routes passing through the Strait of Hormuz will no longer be as they were before, nor will its management be as in the past. He said that if the aggressors have even a little sense, they will not attempt another military attack on the Iranian nation, because they have tried twice and seen the result.

Araghchi emphasized that the security of the region should be ensured by the region’s own countries without reliance on foreign forces, and Iran and regional countries should live together peacefully without external interference.

He said that all the issues of the region are interconnected; therefore, in all negotiations with the American side through the mediation of Pakistan, Qatar, and other friendly countries, Iran has emphasized that any end to the war must encompass all fronts, otherwise stability will not come to the region.
