Defence Day: Sacrifices of Martyrs Are a Guiding Example for Us, Says Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri

Shiite News: On the occasion of Pakistan’s Defence Day on September 6, Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri said in a special message that the commemorative day reminds the nation of the enduring sacrifices of its brave martyrs and veterans and provides an opportunity to renew the resolve to remain united for the country’s freedom, sovereignty and security.

In his statement, Senator Raja Nasir Abbas said that Defence Day is not only an occasion to remember military achievements, but also teaches the values of unity, discipline, patriotism and sacrifice. He said the martyrs sacrificed their present for the nation’s future, adding that their sacrifices serve as a guiding example of how national interests should be placed above personal interests for the security and progress of the country.

The senator emphasized that the nation should play its full role in promoting Pakistan’s development, stability and prosperity. He said that building a strong nation depends not only on protecting its borders, but also on education, integrity, hard work, mutual unity and respect for the law.
