Following the Seerah of the Prophet (PBUH) Is the Path to True Success; Government Must Grant Constitutional Rights to Gilgit-Baltistan: Agha Syed Baqir Al-Hussaini

Shiite News: President of Anjuman-e-Imamia Baltistan Pakistan, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Agha Syed Baqir Al-Hussaini, addressing a large Friday prayer gathering at the Central Jamia Mosque in Skardu, extended greetings on the occasion of Unity Week and the birth anniversaries of the two Imams, Imam Muhammad al-Baqir and Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (peace be upon them).

He said the entire life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) represents the best model for humanity. His character, patience, forgiveness and forbearance remain a great source of guidance for humanity until the Day of Judgment.

He emphasized that the true expression of love for the Prophet (PBUH) and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) is not limited to verbal claims, but must be reflected in our conduct, patience and treatment of others. Expressing concern over growing intolerance in society, Agha Baqir Al-Hussaini stressed that instead of becoming angry over minor matters, people should learn from the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and embrace tolerance and brotherhood.

Addressing rulers and those in positions of authority, he said that the indiscriminate use of force is not a solution to every problem. Rather, the government should act with wisdom, patience, forgiveness and restraint. He reminded those in power that authority and power are a trust bestowed by Allah, and that being part of the Muslim Ummah requires everyone, including rulers, to reflect the teachings and character of the Prophet (PBUH) in their conduct.

Concluding his address, Agha Syed Baqir Al-Hussaini expressed deep concern over the fundamental issues facing the people of Gilgit-Baltistan. He strongly urged the government not to treat the region’s longstanding demands for constitutional, legal and fundamental rights merely as a political issue, but to take immediate and effective practical measures to ensure the legitimate rights of its people.
