Ayatollah Alireza Arafi Offers Prayers at the Mausoleum of Grand Ayatollah Ishaq Fayyaz

Shiite News: During his visit to Iraq, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, head of the Iranian Hawza (Islamic Seminary), visited the residence and mausoleum of the late Grand Ayatollah Ishaq Fayyaz to pay tribute to the eminent marja’s scholarly and religious services and to recite Surah Al-Fatiha for the departed scholar.

According to reports, Ayatollah Arafi met with Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Mahmoud Fayyaz, the eldest son of the late Grand Ayatollah Ishaq Fayyaz, and extended his heartfelt condolences on the passing of the senior religious authority.

During the meeting, Ayatollah Arafi praised the late Ayatollah Fayyaz distinguished scholarly legacy, his advanced jurisprudence (Dars-e-Kharij) lectures, his religious services, and his contributions to society. He also shared personal memories and recalled significant moments associated with the late marja.

Ayatollah Arafi stated that Grand Ayatollah Fayyaz had devoted his entire life to the pursuit of knowledge, Islamic jurisprudence, and the service of the Muslim Ummah, adding that his contributions would always be remembered with great respect.

At the conclusion of his visit, Ayatollah Arafi visited the final resting place of the late Grand Ayatollah Ishaq Fayyaz. In accordance with the late scholar’s will, he recited Surah Al-Fatiha at the mausoleum established within his residence and prayed for the elevation of his ranks in the Hereafter.
