Qalibaf Says Regional Security Depends on Withdrawal of U.S. Forces

Shiite News: Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf said that lasting security in the region would only be possible if U.S. forces withdrew from the Middle East, blaming the American military presence for ongoing regional instability.

According to reports, Qalibaf made the remarks in response to recent statements by U.S. President Donald Trump, saying the current situation leaves only one solution: “Either everyone benefits, or no one does.”

In a post on the social media platform X, Qalibaf said that if Iran were prevented from exporting its oil, then no country in the region would be able to export oil.

He further warned that if Iran’s security were not guaranteed, no major infrastructure in the region would remain secure.

Qalibaf also stressed that sustainable security in the Strait of Hormuz would only be possible in the absence of U.S. military forces, adding that the situation that existed before the conflict would not return. He said Iran had repeatedly expressed this position.
