Condolence Gathering Held in Qom for the Martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution

Shiite News: A condolence gathering was held in the holy city of Qom in memory of the eminent Shia religious authority and leader of the Muslim Ummah, Grand Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei (may his soul rest in peace), along with his martyred family members.

The event was jointly organized by the international departments of the Islamic seminaries (Hawzas), the international institutions of Al-Mustafa International University, the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, the AhlulBayt World Assembly, the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, and the Office of the Representative of the Guardian Jurist (Wilayat al-Faqih) for Hajj and Pilgrimage.

The condolence ceremony took place on Saturday, July 18, 2026, after the Maghrib and Isha prayers in the Imam Khomeini Prayer Hall at the Shrine of Lady Fatima Masumeh (peace be upon her) in Qom.

Scholars, seminary professors, international male and female students, and members of the public attended the gathering. The spiritually uplifting event included recitation of the Holy Qur’an and elegies in remembrance of the martyred leader of the Muslim Ummah.
