Funeral Prayer for Martyred Leader Scheduled at Jamkaran Mosque in Qom

The funeral of the martyred Leader will be transferred to Qom on Monday night, with funeral prayers scheduled to be held at Jamkaran Mosque on Tuesday morning.

He said that a special area has been prepared inside the mosque for worshippers, while comprehensive arrangements have also been made for the funeral prayers and the arrival of guests.

According to Hojjat al-Islam Ojaq Nejad, the funeral prayer will be offered after the Fajr prayer on Tuesday morning. This will be followed by a farewell ceremony, mourning gathering, and elegy recitations at the Holy Jamkaran Mosque in the presence of senior religious authorities, scholars, and invited guests.

The funeral procession for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, will take place in Qom according to the announced schedule.

The Qom Funeral and Farewell Information Committee said in an official statement that the ceremonies will be held as planned.

The statement praised the high status of martyrdom and the martyred leader’s role in guiding the Islamic Revolution, while calling on the public to participate in large numbers.

Details: The funeral ceremonies will begin at 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 (16 Tir 1405), with funeral prayers over the body at the Holy Jamkaran Mosque.

Following the funeral prayer, the body will be carried in a procession along Boulevard Payambar-e-Azam toward the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Fatimah Masumeh.

The committee appealed to the public to maintain order and discipline while participating in these historic ceremonies.

He further said that continuous coordination and consultation are underway with the Office and Household of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution to ensure the funeral procession is conducted in an organized manner. All necessary facilities and arrangements have been completed along the designated route.
