Body of Iran’s Martyred Supreme Leader Transferred to Tehran’s Grand Mosalla as Two-Day Public Farewell Begins

Shiite News:  According to the source, the body of the late Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei, was transferred to Tehran’s Grand Mosalla on Friday morning, where a two-day public farewell ceremony has begun.

The report states that the bodies of other individuals described as his fallen companions were also placed in the main prayer hall, allowing members of the public and visiting dignitaries to pay their respects.

According to the source, religious and cultural leaders from Indonesia and Afghanistan were among the first international figures to attend, while representatives of Iran’s officially recognized religious minorities also participated.

The report further claims that senior officials, parliamentary delegations, religious figures, and government representatives from more than 30 countries—including Russia, China, Pakistan, India, Georgia, and Cuba—have arrived in Iran to attend the funeral and condolence ceremonies.

The source adds that a special memorial event for the families of those killed in the recent conflict was held on Thursday evening before the public farewell ceremonies.

According to the report, President Masoud Pezeshkian called on the Iranian people to participate in the funeral regardless of ethnic, religious, or political affiliation as a demonstration of national unity.

The report also states that Iranian officials expect attendance in the millions, with some estimates suggesting between 15 and 20 million mourners could take part in the ceremonies.
