Maulana Syed Abbas Mehdi Highlights Salman Husaini Nadwi’s Devotion to Ahlul Bayt

Maulana Syed Salman Husaini Nadwi Was a Fearless Scholar Who Loved Ahlul Bayt (AS) and Opposed Their Enemies, Says Maulana Syed Abbas Mehdi

Shiite News: Maulana Syed Abbas Mehdi said that Syed Salman Husaini Nadwi was among the distinguished scholars of the Indian subcontinent who not only held deep love for the Ahlul Bayt (AS) in his heart but also made it the central theme of his thought, writings, and speeches.

He said that the late Salman Nadwi’s personality was a unique example of profound devotion to the Ahlul Bayt (AS) and open opposition to those he regarded as their enemies. Referring to the Quranic verse,  «قُل لَّا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَىٰ» (سورۃ الشوریٰ: 23), he said that love for the Ahlul Bayt (AS) is an obligation upon every Muslim and the reward for the Prophet’s mission.

He further stated that Salman Nadwi considered dissociation from and opposition to the enemies of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) to be an integral part of faith. According to the statement, he described the Zionist lobby, Israeli ideology, American imperialism, and what he referred to as disruptive elements in the Arab world as common enemies of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) and Islam.

He also described Ayatollah Khamenei as the leader of the Muslim Ummah and said that supporting Iran’s Islamic Revolution was a practical manifestation of love for the Ahlul Bayt (AS).
