At least 5 major parties support Governor Rule in Baluchistan
At least 5 major political parties have assured their support to the Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen’s demand that Governor Rule in Baluchistan should be continued.
The assurance to support Governor Rule in Baluchistan was given at meetings of the MWM’s central officials with major political parties’ leaders in Karachi.
Allama Amin Shaheedi, deputy secretary general of the MWM and other central office bearers held a visit of Karachi where they called on the leaders of PPP-Shaheed Bhutto, PML-Functional, Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf and Sindh United Party.
Ghinwa Bhutto, Chairperson, PPP-SB, Dr. Arif Alvi of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf, Imtiaz Shaikh of PML-F, Jalal Mehmood Shah of the SUP and leaders of the JI reiterated their support to the MWM’s legitimate demands to do justice with the victims of terrorism in Balochistan.
These parties’ leaders had visited the camp of sit-in of the MWM to express their support and mark solidarity with the heirs of martyrs of Alamdar Road Quetta Tragedy. These leaders expressed their agreement that Balochistan Government of Aslam Raeesani failed in shouldering their constitutional responsibility hence its dismissal was justified.
They said that the imposition of Governor Rule is in accordance with the Constitution and pro-democracy parties support it because of failure of the provincial government. They recalled that former home minister of the province also said on record that some members of the provincial cabinet were involved in the terrorism in Baluchistan. Therefore, dismissal of the incompetent government that was an abettor of terrorists is right decision.
The MWM has also announced an All Parties Conference to support the Governor Rule and meetings with the political parties leaders is an exercise to rally their support for the APC agenda. The support, the MWM mustered so far, proves its political influence and success.
