Iraqi Popular Forces Identify, Kill Senior ISIL Commander in Fallujah
Informed sources in Salahuddin province said that the popular forces of Nujaba Movement stormed the ISIL Takfiri terrorists’ hideout in the Northern flanks of Fallujah and killed a senior militant commander alongside his two comrades.
“Fighters from the Nujaba Movement, in a security operation in Saqlawiyah in Northern Fallujah, killed one of the senior commanders of the ISIL, Safaa Khamis Ali al-Khalafawi, and two of his aides,” the sources said.
In September, reports said the ISIL terrorists have come under a tight siege by the Iraqi army and the popular forces.
The report said that the Iraqi army and popular troops made new gains in areas around Fallujah and managed to complete the siege of the city.
The local sources said that the Iraqi forces are preparing to enter Fallujah.
