MWM condemns the illegal arrest of Professor Shaukat Zaman and the behavior of DPO Kurram

Shiite News: Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Pakistan Member of National Assembly Engineer Hameed Hussain Turi has strongly condemned the illegal arrest and detention of Assistant Professor Shaukat Zaman of Government Postgraduate College Parachinar by the Kurram police and the insulting behavior of District Police Officer Kurram with senior professors of the college.

He said that this behavior is not only against the dignity of the teaching community but also a clear violation of the basic requirements of the constitution and law.

Engineer Hameed Hussain Turi demanded that Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed and Regional Police Officer Kohat Abbas Majeed Marwat conduct an immediate and impartial inquiry into this unfortunate incident. He said that strict disciplinary action should be taken against the responsible elements so that such incidents can be prevented in the future.
