Speech by Leader Al-Sayyid Abdul Malik Badruddin Al-Houthi on Latest Developments
In the latest developments of the brutal and criminal Israeli assault on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, more than 3,500 Palestinians have been killed or wounded this week in the ongoing genocide carried out by the Israeli enemy, in partnership with America. The victims include children, women, displaced persons, and those desperately seeking food for themselves, their families, and their loved ones. Some were even killed by boxes and parcels dropped from aircraft to land on their heads under the guise of ‘aid’. Several such incidents have been documented and reported in the media.
In reality, this is nothing more than a deadly trick—a case of throwing dust in people’s eyes, as the saying goes—staged in response to the global outcry and widespread anger over the crime of starvation. This crime is one of the gravest, most appalling, and most repugnant of all Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. Given the immense wave of solidarity with the Palestinian cause across the world due to this crime of starvation, the Israeli enemy is trying to deceive everyone by claiming it is allowing aid to be dropped over the heads of Palestinians. In truth, this is done according to a specific plan, a set level, and a certain method, and we explained how it uses this to target the Palestinian people and dupe nations and peoples alike.
According to the figures, if this current pace of so-called ‘aid’ drops onto the heads of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip were to continue steadily, then over the course of eight months it would amount to no more than the equivalent of a single day’s supply of what could enter through the crossings by land and actually reach the people of Gaza. There is no obstacle to this other than the Israeli enemy’s refusal. In other words, airdropping aid is by no means necessary because there is no lack of alternatives—it is perfectly possible to deliver the aid by lorry, with plenty of them already loaded with large quantities of food supplies.
Amid the global outcry, the Israeli enemy decided to allow only a tiny fraction of aid to enter—much of it consisting of food that is already past its expiry date. In doing so, it spreads disease. Several illnesses have already emerged in the Gaza Strip as a result of consuming expired food, which had been kept by the Israeli enemy at the crossings for so long that it went off before being let in. This has had serious and harmful consequences for the Palestinian people.
Meanwhile, people are still dying every day from starvation itself. Each day brings the announcement of more martyrs, especially among children, who are the hardest hit, the least able to endure, and whose suffering is immense due to hunger and malnutrition.
.
Likewise, in the American–Israeli death traps, the killing goes on day after day. Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has testified to the major crimes committed by the Israeli enemy, with American involvement, through these traps. They stated, ‘Children shot in the chest while reaching for food.’ Such is the reality when Palestinians approach these sites, which, by the admission of American individuals, are deliberately designed to kill Palestinians. Amid extreme hunger, many are forced to go to these places in search of food. Once they arrive and gather there, the Israeli enemy begins committing its atrocities, targeting them on the way, while they are assembled, and even after they leave—it keeps targeting them all the time.
Children were shot in the chest—in an act of sheer brutality and criminal intent, the Zionist soldiers deliberately target and snipe children, aiming for fatal wounds to the chest. This is done with the express purpose of wiping out Gaza’s children, eradicating them altogether. ‘People crushed or suffocated in stampedes’—during the desperate rush to get food.
‘Entire crowds gunned down at distribution points.’ The Israeli enemy targets gatherings, deliberately opening fire on people as they assemble. This level of criminality reaches the point of massacring entire crowds of Palestinians, killing them en masse during these gatherings.
Such is the scale of this tragedy and the enormity of the crime committed by the Israeli enemy—starvation coupled with mass killings by gunfire, shelling, air strikes, and the use of devastating and incendiary American bombs—that even UNRWA has stated, ‘Children in Gaza are dying from starvation and bombardments,’ adding that entire families are being wiped out. Indeed, there are countless examples of Palestinian families that were wiped out. ‘Entire families, neighbourhoods, and a generation are being wiped out.’ In other words, the Israeli enemy is targeting an entire generation in the Gaza Strip.
Therefore, the global description—and indeed it has become a global description—of the crimes the Israeli enemy is committing against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is genocide. Although it is difficult for the West to acknowledge this reality in its media outlets and official institutions, which are under the control of global Zionism, it is a truth that has imposed itself, even within Western societies. Everyone is now speaking of the Israeli crimes as genocide. It is the crime of this century, and it is a major, terrible, appalling crime. When it comes to children, there is global consensus on the sheer brutality and criminality of deliberately targeting them. In fact, what the Israeli enemy is doing is a major crime: It kills children, adults, young people, and the elderly, men and women alike; it kills and targets all the Palestinian people, whether in the Gaza Strip and elsewhere, using every method possible. Nonetheless, what it is perpetrating in the Gaza Strip surpasses anywhere else: It is worse, more extensive, and more atrocious. It is a crime against the human being as a human being, whether a child, an adult, or a youth, a man or a woman—a crime against humanity itself. It is a desecration of human life and a violation of its sanctity.
In human society, children are meant to receive special care and protection, as recognised by custom, divine law, civil law, and social norms—all foundations rooted in human nature, ethical principles, and social reality. Thus, targeting them reflects cruelty, criminality, savagery, and tyranny; such an act is a violation of all sanctities and a transgression of every norm recognised in human society. The Israeli enemy is barbaric; it gives no consideration to anything. It has no human values—it has stripped itself of all human values—and possesses no human feelings. It has deviated from the natural disposition. The reality embodied in Israeli criminality stands as evidence that it has reached the point of complete detachment from all human feelings and the innate human values with which Allah has endowed mankind. It also proves that neither divine law nor human and moral values, nor established laws and treaties, nor rights and norms mean anything to this enemy. That is because its targeting of children in Gaza is an extremely grave act. It is one of its principal crimes, and it commits it deliberately, extensively, and daily. In other words, it is a main course of action in its criminal campaign against the Palestinian people.
The Israeli enemy in the Gaza Strip targets all members of the Palestinian people, in all their different categories. Among the groups it focuses on in its targeting are Media personnels. This week saw a deliberate massacre of six journalists in their tent—they were attacked deliberately by the Israeli enemy, which had made all necessary preparations for that purpose before and after the strike. It is an unmistakable crime. According to some statistics, the number of martyred journalists and media personnels in the Gaza Strip has reached 230 or more, as the Israeli enemy focuses on targeting journalists and media personnels. Why does it do so? It is because the Israeli enemy does not want the truth or the reality of its crimes against the Palestinian people to reach people in different parts of the world. It does not want the world to learn of the many facts that are proven and irrefutable. It is especially true at this stage when there has been a great global outcry and humanitarian outrage across many human societies and when people have come to see the Israeli enemy for what it truly is: a criminal, oppressive entity and a tyrannical, corrupt gang whose level of criminality has surpassed that of any other anywhere in the world. This has unsettled the Israeli enemy.
The Israeli enemy has left no form or type of crime—no matter how heinous—unused against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. It has employed every kind and form of crime. The Zionist enemies are criminals; moreover, they are also ingenious in carrying out crimes, even in the types of crimes they commit. And they also excel in devising methods of persecution, torture, oppression, and criminality. Thus, when we reflect on the types and varieties of crimes they commit against the Palestinian people, we are truly stunned by the depths of barbarity, aggression, and malevolence they have reached. This reveals their true nature, their psyche, their malevolence, and their intentions. It shows us what they are, what they want, and what they are striving for. In fact, their actions are driven by two fundamental issues. The first is their savage, criminal, and malevolent mentality, which harbours contempt, hatred, and extremely aggressive intentions against our Ummah and our peoples. Second, their crimes also have specific objectives: Indeed, they pursue genocide because they want to kill and annihilate as many members of the Ummah as possible, using all forms and means of extermination.
This is one of their main objectives: extermination by all means and methods, including epidemics, direct killings, and crimes carried out as part of genocide using bombs, shells, and every means of killing, as well as through starvation, thirst, and denying medical care to the wounded and the sick. Forced displacement, together with extermination, is also one of their goals. They have a specific objective towards this Ummah, which is to annihilate as many of its members as possible, to forcibly displace large numbers, to subjugate and control the rest, and to indirectly kill those they can. While the Israeli enemy kills directly as many as it can, exterminating the largest number it can by every possible means, it also seeks to achieve the same goal of extermination through others by orchestrating strife.
Therefore, the criminal toll in the Gaza Strip, resulting from the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, is extremely high, especially when we consider the length of time and the limited geographic area. Over a period of 676 days, the toll has reached 61,700 martyrs and nearly 154,000 wounded individuals. With the missing included, the total number exceeds 225,700 Palestinians. The geographic scope of the Gaza Strip is limited. In other words, in this restricted area, the Israeli criminality has reached this level in killing people—the human soul, about which Allah says, {‘Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land, it is as if he had slain mankind entirely’}[Al-Ma’idah 5:32]. This is part of what Allah addressed to the Children of Israel, who replaced it with fabrications against Allah (Glory be to Him) and with other texts that they claim permit the extermination of people. However, Allah (Glory be to Him) warned them and made clear to them through His messengers and in His scriptures that {‘Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land, it is as if he had slain mankind entirely’}[Al-Ma’idah 5:32]. This is a terrible, immense, appalling crime, yet they continue in their excess. Excess is the defining mark of their criminality; excess is to go beyond all bounds: in quantity, in type, in manner, and in the level of crimes—We seek refuge in Allah!
As we mentioned, alongside killing with gunfire, there is starvation, deprivation of water, denial and destruction of medical services, and continuous forced displacement from one area to another, as in the north and south of the Strip and in various other areas. At every stage, the Israeli enemy declares an area to be ‘a red zone’, designating it as a killing zone, and specifies areas it calls ‘safe’, only to target those areas! It targets the displaced persons in the very places it labels ‘safe’, and forces them to move to other areas, and the cycle continues, allowing them no opportunity for stability whatsoever. It does this as one of its criminal methods and practices, aimed at severely tightening the noose around them.
A prominent Israeli rabbi has stated that every child in Gaza should die of hunger. Their rabbis serve as the highest religious and spiritual authorities, yet they reach this degree of criminality. That is, when examining such a society—particularly its military and political leaders, religious and spiritual authorities and leaders, and even the educated and scholarly classes—one finds a disturbing prevalence of criminal disposition. For them, this disposition is an ideology, a doctrine, a culture, and a mentality they truly hold. These figures are the ones guiding society and shaping the next generation. They raise children to embrace criminality and indoctrinate them with it, making it, as we said, central to their culture and ideology. This level of criminality and brutality even among those they call religious and spiritual authorities—these senior criminals—is directed against children! He cruelly asserts that every child in Gaza should die of hunger and presents this as a duty—even framing it as a religious ruling. The logic of their political leaders and their cultural and intellectual elites is the same—the logic of society as a whole. That is why they boast about their crimes in the Gaza Strip.
Although it is expected that women are the most compassionate, especially towards children by virtue of their maternal nature, Israeli Jewish Zionist female soldiers openly boast of deliberately killing numerous children. One soldier said that she took pleasure in killing them, shooting them for amusement: one child in the chest, another in the head, a third by first targeting the limbs before finishing him off. This reflects a truly horrific degree of criminality and savagery.
This is bound up with the true nature of this enemy. That is, we should not view the crimes, actions, and behaviour of the Israelis as isolated events, unrelated to who they are—their ideology, their culture, even their political orientations, and how they perceive other people. We must recognise that these embody their true nature; we must view them as defined by such a level of savagery, aggression, criminality, and hatred. As such, they pose a real threat to the peoples of our Ummah, especially when we turn a blind eye to or ignore their reality and threat. The greatest danger to our Ummah lies in that neglect and ignorance and in accepting the positive image presented by some of their followers, who are sharing in their crimes because of their allegiance to them.
The Israeli enemy also continues to violate the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Our Ummah—especially all those with guiding roles, such as scholars, intellectuals, teachers, and preachers—must reinforce the sacredness of Al-Aqsa among our communities, keep that sanctity firmly rooted, and emphasise the significance of our Islamic holy sites and the danger of neglecting them. One of the sad realities in our Islamic Ummah and its peoples as a whole, is that the Jews have managed to influence it through a policy of taming. This is compounded by the neglect of many important issues by those involved in instructional, educational, and cultural efforts. At the same time, the enemy works in the opposite direction to sever the Ummah’s connection to its important Islamic principles: It separates it from its most important principles and offers other alternative, which has a completely different and damaging impact on the reality of the Ummah.
In the reality of our Ummah, the bodies that guide it—through official policies from rulers and governments—neglect, erase, and ignore important matters: principles, values, instructions, and everything that contributes to the revival of our Ummah, its awareness, its insight, its sense of responsibility, and its educational, moral, and intellectual readiness to fulfil its role. Meanwhile, the enemy works in the opposite direction, offering alternatives that leave a profoundly harmful impact on the Ummah’s psyche.
The sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque is one of the most important matters that must be stressed in the reality of the Ummah, along with the Ummah’s relationship with its holy sites, the danger of neglecting them, and the importance of these divine landmarks. They are of paramount importance for the Ummah’s religious attachment, its doctrinal and spiritual cohesion, and for its bond with Allah, the Almighty.
The Zionist enemies continue their incursions and attempts of Judaisation: They focus on raising Israeli flags in the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. In fact, matters have gone so far that the Zionist Jews raised their flag on the courtyard of the Dome of the Rock Mosque.
The Israeli enemy also continues to force Palestinians in Al-Quds to demolish their own homes, an outrage that kept recurring this week.
As for its assaults in the West Bank, the Israeli enemy continues its endeavours in the major camps—Jenin camp, Tulkarm camp, and Nur Shams camp. The displacement of the residents from these large camps persists, along with destruction, demolition, and the alteration of their features. It also continues the forced displacement of people across various parts of the West Bank, and commits all forms of aggression against them, their property, and their livestock. This week alone, there were more than sixty-one acts of property destruction and more than one hundred and seventy raids.
The Israeli enemy constantly targets the Palestinian people in the West Bank and establishes more settlement outposts on usurped land. The criminal known as ‘the Israeli finance minister’ posed for a photo in one of these settlements in the West Bank, beside a wall bearing the Israeli slogan ‘Death to the Arabs’. This slogan has been associated with the Zionist Jewish occupation of Palestine since its inception, and it is chanted at their events and gatherings. The true aim of their political and practical endeavour—their Zionist project—is to bring about the destruction of Arabs. This is pursued through killing them, dismantling the Ummah, and stripping it of its independence, freedom, and dignity. They seek to bring about the collective demise of the Ummah as a great ummah endowed by Allah with all necessary means to be a pioneering nation in human society by virtue of its Islam, its Quran, its great Islamic values, and the teachings of Allah (the Almighty), through which it could have attained a leading position within human society. They want the Ummah to be humiliated, submissive, and enslaved in every sense of the word. Such a state is even worse than when the Arabs worshipped stone idols, for in submitting to the Israeli enemy, they are surrendering to something even more evil, more corrupt, and more misguided than lifeless idols that could neither speak nor act.
The acceptance by our Ummah—hundreds of millions strong—to submit and yield completely to the Israeli enemy is nothing less than enslavement in the fullest sense of the word. Therefore, no believer, who still has a shred of faith, and no free person, who still holds even a trace of humanity and a sense of dignity, can accept being enslaved by the Israeli enemy, characterised by meanness, hatred, baseness, vileness, criminality, brutality, and wickedness. It is an evil, corrupting, and misleading enemy, an extension of Satan’s work, enmity, and evil on the earth. Therefore, it is a catastrophic calamity for a person to enslave himself to such an enemy. Our Ummah must wake up to the reality of this very serious, deeply damaging decline in its reality.
The Israeli enemy truly aims to wipe the Arabs out. That Jewish-Zionist slogan is laden with meaning—it is not merely idle words cast into the air. Those words express their hatred, their vision, and their agenda—all their actions rest on this foundation. Yet we find many regimes across the Arab world prevent people from chanting ‘Death to Israel’ to express their enmity towards an enemy that was the first to initiate hatred, injustice, and criminality—targeting their Ummah, their sanctities, their religion, and their identity and insulting their Prophet, their Quran, and everything they hold dear.
The Israeli enemy announced this week its decision to seize Gaza City and that it is making preparations for this. It is clear that the Israeli enemy has been actively seeking to occupy Gaza since the beginning of its assault. For this reason, its assault was never limited to air raids using American-made bombs, nor to the comprehensive destruction and demolition of the Strip, the eradication of every aspect of life there, and the mass killings of its population with bombs and shells. Alongside these attacks, it launched ground operations along multiple routes in the Gaza Strip. And it has persisted with this approach, deploying five military divisions in its ground assault on Gaza, with the aim of occupation. It has already occupied a large part of the Gaza Strip, particularly exposed areas, such as farmland and other open spaces, which are easier for it to occupy and advance through.
However, what is new in this announcement is the Israeli enemy’s attempt to target one million Palestinians in Gaza City. Its current focus is on the city itself, despite earlier attempts to cut deep into the Gaza Strip and target several neighbourhoods through ground incursions, which ultimately failed. Now, through this announcement and the preparations accompanying it, it seeks to displace, kill, and harass a million Palestinians in Gaza City, while also destroying what little remains of the city’s homes and neighbourhoods—already reduced to a tiny fraction—through wholesale demolition. In other words, this announcement marks an escalatory step in the ongoing, horrific crimes against the Palestinian people.
This announcement was met with widespread condemnation worldwide, expressed through numerous remarks, declarations, and statements. However, words alone are not enough. There must be practical measures to pressure the Israeli enemy into halting its crimes and aggression.
The primary target of this assault is the Palestinian people as a whole—defenceless civilians and ordinary residents. Across the entire Gaza Strip—north, south, and centre—it is evident that the biggest victims, the most heavily targeted, are unarmed civilians in general. As for our fellow mujahidin, they are resisting and fighting bravely. Their effective and impactful operations against the enemy are clear, backed by facts, realities, and widely circulated footage. The Israeli enemy is seeking to forcibly displace one million Palestinians from Gaza City, to commit further acts of genocide, and to destroy what remains of the city’s homes—a truly horrific crime! There must be a collective effort to prevent it from carrying out this step.
Regarding Palestinian steadfastness, our fellow mujahidin in the Gaza Strip continue their great and heroic jihadist operations in confronting the Israeli enemy. In recent days, the Al-Qassam Brigades have carried out nearly twelve diverse operations, including sniper attacks on enemy soldiers, the destruction of its vehicles, and shelling enemy troop concentrations across all battlefronts.
The Al-Quds Brigades have also conducted a range of operations, including:
Other factions have also carried out operations, and one of the most remarkable aspects we observe in the Gaza Strip is the high level of cooperation and coordination among the jihadist factions. This constitutes a major source of strength and aligns with the teachings of Allah (Glory be to Him), Who says in His Holy Book, {‘Indeed, Allah loves those who fight in His cause in a row as though they are a [single] structure joined firmly’}[As-Saf 61:4]. Cooperation represents strength, and when efforts are combined, the results are immense and tangible.
Regarding Syria, the Israeli enemy continues all its assaults in violation of its agreements with those factions in control of Syria, who have agreed and committed to ending all their military presence in southern Syria. Although they have accepted a full evacuation of their forces from the south, the Israeli enemy seeks to have the area cleared for its own control. That is, it does not want the south to be simply left vacant but under its effective control. As a result, it continues all its aggressive activities in southern Syria, including:
All forms of assault, violation, bulldozing, encroachment, and the entrenchment of positions continue unabated. These actions are a flagrant breach of every agreement. This proves in practice that the Israeli enemy does not seek peace but demands unconditional surrender. It is unwilling to leave people in peace or refrain from targeting their lands and seizing what is in their hands out of respect for the goodwill they have shown by deciding not to do anything against it and considering it not an enemy. Such gestures mean nothing to it—absolutely nothing.
The Israeli enemy originally came to our region—beginning with Palestine—with the aim of occupation. It operates according to the Zionist scheme, which we will also address further on. Therefore, it continues its aggression in Syria through incursions, abductions, the setting up of roadblocks, military patrols, and the complete violation of southern Syria’s sovereignty. It also assassinated, on the Syria–Lebanon road, the Palestinian Popular Front leader Muhammad Khalil (Abu Khalil) and field commander Mufid Hassan Hussein. Funeral ceremonies were held for both in Yarmouk Camp.
In Lebanon, the Israeli enemy continues to commit serious violations of its agreement with the Lebanese state—an agreement guaranteed by international actors, including America and France. Despite this, the Israeli enemy shows no regard for the agreement or its terms. Just yesterday, the so-called ‘chief of staff of the Israeli army’ openly boasted of their flagrant violations of this agreement—actions that constitute a total breach and an act of aggression in every sense of the word: a direct assault on Lebanon and its people. He proudly stated that 240 Lebanese civilians had been killed after the agreement was signed, and that they had carried out 600 air strikes against the Lebanese people, including strikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs.
The Israeli enemy continues its killing campaign through air strikes, artillery fire, and daily machine-gun bursts from the positions it occupies in southern Lebanon. It violates Lebanese airspace and territorial waters and persists in occupying the areas it seized following its latest assault on Lebanon.
Boasting of having killed 240 Lebanese people, the Israeli enemy remains in a constant state of aggression against Lebanon. It is, therefore, entirely natural—instinctive, even—and a matter of national responsibility, that the Lebanese state, with all its institutions, should prioritise halting this aggression. The Israeli enemy poses a real threat to Lebanon, committing daily violations of its sovereignty on a large scale and in various forms. This should have been the state’s focus, and for this purpose, it should have mobilised all available resources. In fact, this is the position that all Lebanon—the state and the people alike and across all sectors—should take: to work towards preventing the Israeli enemy from continuing its aggression. But what actually happened?
The Israeli enemy is attempting to override the agreement as though it never existed, seeking to impose its own dictates on the Lebanese government—dictates that serve only Israeli interests, not Lebanon’s—with full American support and complicity in pressuring Lebanon. The Lebanese government’s public submission to and adoption of the American proposal—filled with Israeli dictates—is a betrayal of Lebanon. It compromises national sovereignty and insults the Lebanese people in the fullest sense. And this was done openly, not in secret: A US envoy arrived with a document carrying Israeli dictates, and the Lebanese government then surrendered to both the Americans and the Israelis, accepting that document with all Israeli dictates in it. Such dictates cannot be in the interest of Lebanon; rather, they pose a threat to it and aim to incite internal strife and turn the Lebanese state into an enforcer for Israel, serving its agenda. That is truly regrettable.
The core issue here is that this is an Israeli-American decision, and the Lebanese government’s adoption of it is a major scandal. It does not change the reality—it is not a Lebanese decision, nor is it independent or responsible. What the Lebanese government has done is simply to adopt an Israeli-American directive. Therefore, it should never be described as a Lebanese decision. It is not Lebanese, not sovereign, not responsible—it is nothing more than the adoption of Israeli dictates. It must always be recognised as an Israeli-American decision. As such, there can be no justification for submitting to it merely because the Lebanese government adopted it under the pretext of pressure. That pressure is not a valid excuse—it could have chosen to resist.
Why do Arab governments, generally speaking, suffer from this disgraceful weakness?! They are quick to buckle under American or Israeli pressure—almost as if, to borrow the popular expression, ‘Force me and I’ll comply.’ They are ever-ready to use such pressure as an excuse to implement whatever the Americans or Israelis demand—even when those demands pose serious threats to their peoples, their countries, their present, and their future.
American interests, in fact, bring nothing but harm to our Ummah. There are no mutual interests with the Israelis. Israeli interests serve Israel alone, and they bring only harm, evil, and aggression to our peoples and our lands. This is an undeniable truth.
Why does the Israeli enemy want to strip Lebanon of the only weapon that protects it? This is because it is well-known, undeniable, and clear to everyone that the Lebanese army will not defend Lebanon against any attack by the Israeli enemy. This is simply not going to happen; the reasons for this are plain to see. In fact, no political decision will ever be taken by the official authorities in Lebanon to confront the Israeli enemy, and reality confirms this. This has remained the case for more than forty years, as the Israeli enemy has been in a constant state of aggression against Lebanon and persisted in its occupation of Lebanese territories, such as the Shebaa Farms. The same was true when the enemy reached Beirut and even during all the stages of liberation, which the mujahidin and the Lebanese resistance achieved by Allah’s grace. This has been the case throughout all previous stages, and it is now more certain than ever. That is, it is less likely than ever that the Lebanese army would be given any official directive to stand up to Israel. It has never confronted it, nor has it ever been given the mandate to do so, even under far more favourable circumstances. With that said, the likelihood of this happening is more doubtful than ever, especially given the army’s current state in terms of weaponry and capabilities.
It is in Lebanon’s best interest that the experience of resistance—which is not only a legitimate right in every respect, but also a proven success over forty years—receives both official and popular backing. The resistance is Lebanon’s sole source of strength and therefore deserves protection and support from the state and the people alike. It should not be undermined by factions or elements loyal to the Israeli enemy, nor should official policies become subservient to the Israeli enemy and bow to its dictates. Such a course is truly disgraceful in every sense of the word.
The Israeli enemy seeks to strip Lebanon of the weapon that protects it, which is the weapon of the resistance. This is because it wants Lebanon to remain vulnerable to its violations. It also seeks to remove the one real obstacle that, as the facts of the past forty years have shown, has effectively stood in its way, preventing it from violating Lebanon at will and seizing whatever it desires there.
O peoples of our Ummah! O Lebanese people! The problem is not the weapons of the resistance and the free people of this Ummah. These weapons protect and defend you: They defend your freedom, your honour, your independence, your dignity, and your identity in the face of the worst and most oppressive enemy—the Israeli enemy.
The real problem for our Ummah lies in the weapons used by the Israeli enemy to kill children, exterminate civilians, destroy homes, and target people. These are weapons designed to annihilate you, kill your children and women, occupy your lands, plunder your wealth, subjugate you, and strip away your freedom and independence. They are used to violate all that you hold dear: your blood, your honour, your land, your wealth, and your sanctities.
Therefore, the general position—both among the peoples of our Ummah and at the official level in our countries—must be firmly directed against Israeli armaments and the supply of weapons to the Israeli enemy. Furthermore, we must cry out against every country that provides the Israeli enemy with arms, for they are equipping it to kill children and women and commit the most atrocious crimes. This approach does have an impact. For example, some Western countries that are among the strongest supporters of the Israeli enemy in terms of supplying weapons—due to the ongoing uproar over the Israeli crimes in the Gaza Strip—have announced the suspension of weapon supplies to the Israeli enemy that could be used in Gaza, until further notice, as is the case with Germany and other European countries. What if there were a significant outcry in the reality of Ummah, both officially and among the people, accompanied by decisions and policies at the political and economic levels? In truth, this would have created real pressure on Western societies to halt arms supplies to the Israeli enemy.
The prevailing discourse across our entire Ummah—both at the official level and among the people—must clearly and forcefully assert, and extend this assertion to all other nations, that the Israeli enemy must not be allowed to possess weapons. Its possession of arms poses a threat to all human societies, to children, to women, to defenceless civilians. Indeed, it is a danger in every sense, a source of global crises, and a threat to both regional and international security and stability. This is a clear and undeniable truth. So why, then, do some adopt the same logic and position held by the Israeli enemy and follow its dictates, only to reframe the matter in a different language?!
The interesting thing we noticed yesterday regarding the Lebanese government is that it shows sensitivity even towards expressions of solidarity with Lebanon and to positions that affirm support for Lebanon against the Israeli enemy. We hear some say that we should not interfere in Lebanese affairs and better refrain from that. Any form of support for Lebanon—whether military, political, or otherwise—if it comes from a Muslim individual, a Muslim nation, or a Muslim state, is dismissed as so-called ‘interference in Lebanese affairs’. They deliver these words in a loud, bold, and assertive tone. Yet at the same time, we see these very people descend into disgraceful submission and utter humiliation in the face of Israeli crimes, violations, and assaults on Lebanese sovereignty. What the Americans and Israelis do in Lebanon is far more than interference. It amounts to occupation, violation, killing, and the total desecration of Lebanese sovereignty. And yet, we do not hear the same rhetoric from the Lebanese government that it reserves for certain Islamic nations when those countries express solidarity with Lebanon. This is the very definition of malice, embodied by the Lebanese government and some of its officials. They even extend this malice towards Hezbollah, the Lebanese resistance, and the Lebanese people themselves. It is an act of malice to adopt Israeli logic and Israeli dictates, to submit to them in utter humiliation, and then oppose any statement or gesture of solidarity with your own country, all under the pretext of ‘sovereignty’. You have no claim to sovereignty if you submit to Israeli dictates and adopt them against your own people—especially the free and honourable among them.
The drive to strip our countries and peoples of weapons—especially of the weapons that defend them against Israeli aggression and domination—is a fundamental part of the Zionist scheme targeting our Ummah.
In fact, the Israeli enemy, along with the Americans, seeks to deprive our Ummah of all elements of strength, including the weapons that protect it from them. The Israelis and Americans have no objection if some among our people possess weapons, but only in specific areas and only when those arms serve the Israeli and American agenda:
they are content for weapons to be used for this purpose, but only to the extent needed to achieve their objectives. Once those objectives are achieved, the approach and attitude of Israel change entirely.
Therefore, the fools, the spiteful, and the proxies could not be more wrong when they claim that the problem lies in the weapons held by our Ummah—the weapons wielded by the free and honourable, those loyal to this Ummah and its religion, the true, sovereign defenders of their homelands. The real issue lies with Israeli weaponry and the campaign to disarm our Ummah of the means by which it protects itself.
In fact, the Lebanese government’s submission to Israeli and American orders and dictates is, by itself, sufficient proof and decisive evidence that the Lebanese government will not protect Lebanon, nor will it protect the Lebanese people. If the government is this submissive to the Americans and Israelis—this obedient to their will—and fully embraces the enemy’s dictates and agenda, how, then, could it protect its own people from that very enemy—the true and undeniable enemy of Lebanon? By adopting American-Israeli decisions and dictates, the government demonstrates, beyond doubt, that it will never, not ever, protect its people: the Lebanese people.
The Americans and Israelis, or rather the Zionist enemy with its many arms—just like an octopus with many arms, including American, Israeli, British ones—seek to reshape the role of our governments, armies, and security agencies into a single function: to implement American and Israeli orders and directives that serve their interests. In return, this leads to the consolidation of American and Israeli control over our Ummah, resulting in the loss of freedom, independence, and the major interests of this Ummah. It opens the door for destructive plots to be executed against the Ummah—ones that cause pure harm and absolute evil to it. This reality is undeniable.
What exactly is the role of the Palestinian Authority, claiming to represent the Palestinian people? Do the Palestinian people benefit in any way from such a role? Its most prominent role has been what they call ‘security coordination’ with the Israeli enemy. It does not protect its people or defend their rights. Its actions offer no real good or clear benefit to the Palestinian people. Instead, it actively collaborates—with visible and undeniable impact—with the Israeli enemy against the free members of Palestinian society. Consider how many innocent Palestinians this authority has helped the Israeli enemy kill, abduct, or target through various means!
This is the very role that Israel and America want from every government in the region, from every army, and every security institution: to serve as tools of Zionism, of America, of Israel against their own people. This role is meant to be their primary function. That is a disaster and even worse than surrender. In fact, it is betrayal—a betrayal and a deep injustice against the Ummah.
It is no different from the governments set up by colonial powers during occupation in the previous colonial era across our countries, when a local government was installed to perform this role. Take, for example, the crime of killing the martyr Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam. Who was sent to kill him and the faithful mujahidin with him? Many were from the local police—Palestinians, Arabs—recruited to serve with the British. They were sent to kill him, and they even outnumbered the British who went with them, and participated in his killing. Historical accounts note that Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam and his companions were careful to avoid harming them—something the British exploited to make the mission of killing him easier.
Whether governments, armies, security agencies, or allied parties, elites, media mouthpieces, and malicious writers who spread falsehoods to support the Israeli enemy and target anyone who resists it—the Americans and Israelis want to use everyone as tools against their peoples, their homelands, and the Ummah as a whole.
Falling prey to the Zionist scheme is a disaster. In fact, all these are merely details of the larger Zionist scheme:
This is all part of the Zionist scheme. Giving in to the Zionist plan is a disaster for our peoples in both spiritual and worldly terms. It is an absolute, all-encompassing, appalling loss that no person with a shred of awareness or reason could accept. No one can accept such loss except those who have become numb, like animals. It means to lose freedom, honour, dignity, independence, even the very core of humanity. It means to accept enslavement, humiliation, and disgrace and lose your faith and worldly life. This is utterly unacceptable!
This week saw statements by the criminal Netanyahu, during an interview with Channel 24, an Israeli Zionist channel. He was asked about his belief in the Zionist project of ‘Greater Israel’, and he reaffirmed it. This is something openly declared by the Americans, the Israelis, and the leading Zionist criminals; it is a matter of public record. Yet not a single Arab leader, in any country presenting itself as a great and leading nation of the Ummah, dares to respond to him, even though this targets the entire Ummah. Would, for example, the leader of Egypt or that of Saudi Arabia dare to issue a firm and forceful response, backed by real action, to Netanyahu’s words, which insult the whole region, including Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq? He dares to say these things openly, and they do indeed act accordingly. This issue is clear in their culture, their policies, and all their affairs.
Following the Zionist scheme called ‘Changing the Middle East’ is a profound regression from human values and from the teachings of Islam. It means accepting servitude and subjugation to the worst, most criminal, most corrupt enemy. For those who accept this, it leads to utter ruin in both this life and the Hereafter. This makes clear the greatness, necessity, and value of taking the right stand and following the correct path, which leads to the very opposite of these negative qualities: It is the path of freedom, honour, dignity, and pride, one that goes in line with wisdom and sound judgment and is consistent with righteousness, faith, piety, and jihad. This is true when people act on the teachings of Allah (Glory be to Him) and even on their own innate disposition and stand against this Zionist scheme labelled ‘The New Middle East’, one that aims to realise the Israeli project of ‘Greater Israel’. And what is the alternative? It is an ummah that is fragmented and diminished, rendered submissive and humiliated—that is, the Arab nations become humiliated, disgraced, trampled underfoot by the Jews, and utterly subjugated, with their blood, honour, dignity, land, wealth, sanctities, and identity left open to abuse.
The daily crimes perpetrated by the Israeli enemy, with American partnership, against the Palestinian people are in themselves enough proof for our Ummah to see clearly the true nature of this enemy—on top of what is already stated in the Holy Quran. Why, then, do our Ummah, its scholars, intellectuals, and elites deny all the facts Allah has mentioned in the Holy Quran about these enemies—about the camp of evil, treachery, disbelief, criminality, oppression, hatred, and enmity from the People of the Book, about the Jews with all their criminality? The Holy Quran is full of discussion about them, such as in Surah Al-Baqarah, Ali ‘Imran, An-Nisa, At-Tawbah, and Al-Ma’idah. Yet they continue to completely disregard all these truths in Allah’s Book, shut their eyes to the tangible realities that the entire world has witnessed, and ignore what the Jews are in their beliefs and their culture.
I have many texts and statements here in which they express their hatred, beliefs, and views about our Ummah and about other non-Jewish peoples and nations, but due to time constraints I can only mention a few.
Among the things they say in their religious texts:
Such people with such a view about you—for whom this is both a belief and a strategy that shapes their approach and their dealings with you—how can you, in turn, look at them with respect or accept submission to them? That would be a true disaster.
Compare this with our relationship of faith with Allah (Glory be to Him). We believe that He is our Lord, whose Lordship is based on honouring us: {‘And We have certainly honoured the children of Adam’}[Al-Isra 17:70]. Indeed, He says, {‘And We have certainly honoured the children of Adam.’} He has honoured us in our creation and our form and through His blessings, His guidance, and His valuable teachings. For those others, however, it is nothing but catastrophe and disaster, because of their hatred and views.
When a person believes in Allah (Glory be to Him), He responds with love: {‘others who are loved by Him and love Him’}[Al-Ma’idah 5:54]. He responds with love, mercy, honour, and great reward in this world and the Hereafter. In Jannah, one of the greatest rewards Allah gives to His believing servants is unparalleled honour in return for their good deeds—deeds that benefit them, for He has no need of their actions. As for these people, one should expect nothing but disaster.
They say, ‘Kill [even] the good among the gentiles,’ and by ‘the good’ they mean those who submit to them and serve them. Such a person, in their view, deserves to be killed, but only after finishing his service. They also say it is forbidden for a Jew to save any of ‘the goyim’ from destruction, or to help him out of a pit he has fallen into; rather, he should seal it with a stone!
Such is their view—so how can anyone within our Ummah accept their demands or serve them?
Regarding the demonstrations in support of Gaza, there were demonstrations in five Arab and Islamic countries, led by Yemen, which also topped global activities and demonstrations. Demonstrations took place in seventeen countries worldwide, including Britain—a country that claims to champion civilisation, progress, and human rights, only to arrest an elderly, blind man in a wheelchair for expressing solidarity with Palestine, with no regard for his humanitarian situation.
Among the positive developments is the reported move by Norway’s sovereign wealth fund to halt its investments in the Israeli entity as a response to the aggression against Gaza—a welcome step in the economic boycott. What, by contrast, has been the Arab response?
Consider these striking and regrettable paradoxes:
and impose an economic boycott, while Egypt moves to sign the largest gas deal in its history with that very enemy—an astonishing paradox!
while some regimes, including European ones, are suspending arms exports to the Israelis. In one Italian port, workers protested against the Saudi ship’s attempt to dock, boarded the vessel, documented its cargo of weapons destined for Israel, and blocked it from berthing— protesting that these weapons were to be used to kill Palestinians in Gaza, including children and women, and to commit those brutal crimes of genocide against the Palestinian people.
What is wrong with Arabs? What is wrong with these governments that have stooped so low as to aid the Israeli enemy—one that is an enemy to them, their Prophet, their faith, and their peoples? While some regimes and countries—whether for political gain or out of basic humanity—have taken steps to halt some forms of cooperation, Arab regimes do even more to help the Israeli enemy. These are truly astonishing paradoxes.
Take, for example, the Hague Group: a coalition of governments and regimes led by South Africa and Colombia—non-Muslim countries—that, motivated by humanitarian values, has organised itself to make practical decisions to boycott the Israeli enemy and support the Palestinian people. This group pursues these through legal, political, and diplomatic channels, as well as through concrete initiatives and economic boycotts. What has kept the Arab League from taking action of this calibre?
There is a serious problem in the Arab world. There is an obvious flaw in official Arab policy: decisions to support and partner with the Israeli enemy. This is a grave crime. The transfer of weapons to the Israeli enemy, which are used to kill Palestinians, Lebanese, and Syrians and target the entire Ummah, is a terrible crime—a direct participation in criminality and a betrayal of the Ummah. This is truly regrettable and reflects a stark contrast in positions.
Regarding the support front of Yemen (the land of faith and wisdom) in the Battle of the Promised Conquest and Holy Jihad, this week’s operations targeted the Israeli enemy in occupied Palestine, reaching Yaffa, Haifa, Asqalan, Beersheba, the Negev, and Umm Al-Rashrash. In addition, a ship violating the blockade in the far north of the Red Sea was targeted.
Operations continue both on land and at sea.
In the same context, and in light of the impact of Yemeni operations on the Israeli enemy, Indian and Italian airlines have announced the postponement of their return to Lod Airport—which the Israeli enemy names after one of its worst criminals, Ben Gurion—until 25 October and 30 September, respectively, due to the situation in Palestine. This underscores the impact of the Yemeni operations.
As for public activities in Yemen, the Yemeni people staged 1,356 marches, rallies, and demonstrations last week—a massive and honourable turnout befitting Yemen, the land of faith and wisdom.
Yesterday, massive, honourable demonstrations were held at a number of universities:
It is a blessing from Allah (Glory be to Him) to see Yemen presenting such a model and taking such a comprehensive position—one embraced by both officials and the people alike and maintained across all spheres, including through military action. It is a blessing to see this outstanding student activism, which is now at the forefront of global action. These same universities—foremost among them the University of Sana’a—are calling on their peers throughout the Arab and Islamic world, for it is the student and academic elite who should be the first to champion this honourable cause in their societies and lead others in standing up to the Israeli enemy and supporting the Palestinian people. This is what reflects genuine awareness, knowledge, maturity, responsibility, ethical values, authentic faith, and a profound sense of humanitarian, moral, and religious responsibility. Given all this, how could such a distinguished group—the academic, educational, and student elite—remain inactive in the Arab and Islamic world, succumbing to the same prevailing apathy that reflects neither awareness, nor responsibility, nor true concern?
One can see how many students and teachers at other universities, even American universities, face repression and persecution. Some have been expelled, others detained or dismissed, and many subjected to serious violations. Yet they remain resolute, unwavering in their position. Steadfastness and adherence to the right course is a living translation of insight, awareness, maturity, wisdom, faith, and human and moral values. And this is therefore the right choice—the proper direction to follow.
In contrast, stagnation, surrender, and passivity signify psychological defeat and a lack of awareness, maturity, wisdom, and insight—a state of utter blindness.
Allegiance to the American and Israeli enemy and standing with them in any form amounts to treason. It is a total moral and human bankruptcy, a complete break from religious and human values, and active participation in the crimes of the enemy. For this reason, Allah (the Almighty) says, {‘Whoever takes them as Auliya becomes one of them’}[Al-Ma’idah 5:51].
Instructional and educational activities are very important—those activities that raise the insight, awareness, maturity, and understanding of our Islamic Ummah in the face of enemy conspiracies. Such efforts also build a sense of responsibility and trust in Allah. Media, educational, awareness, and instructional initiatives guided by righteousness are foundational pillars for the Ummah in confronting the Jewish-Zionist scheme that targets it. The media, educational, and awareness-raising effort is essential for the Ummah in confronting the Jewish Zionist scheme that targets it. This work is especially vital for our peoples—to confront every mouthpiece, writer, and agent of Zionism who seeks to subjugate the Ummah and to distort every correct stance and direction. It also reminds the Ummah of its responsibility and mobilises it. Global activism is just as essential, for it exposes the Zionist enemy and its American partner, communicating the true suffering of the Palestinian people to other nations worldwide. We have seen the growing impact of these efforts: Though still limited, they have played a significant part in raising global awareness of Zionist crimes and the danger posed by the Israelis and Americans not only to the peoples of the Ummah, but to all people everywhere.
I call upon our dear people to participate in a great million-strong demonstration tomorrow, Friday (Allah willing), in the capital, Sana’a, and throughout the other governorates and public squares. Let this mass turnout be an expression of the faith, loyalty, honour, gallantry, dignity, and pride of our people—showing that they are truly worthy of what the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&F) said about them: ‘The belief is that of the Yemenites, and sagacity is that of the Yemenites.’ Indeed, due to their faith, our people stand with pride and hold fast to positions of honour, courage, pride, and dignity.
