Making blasphemy a business is an insult to Islam and humanity, Allama Sibtain Sabzwari
Shiite News: Central Vice President Shia Ulema Council Pakistan Allama Syed Sibtain Haider Sabzwari has condemned the heinous business in the name of blasphemy, calling it a scourge for society and has announced support for the decision of Islamabad High Court Judge Justice Ijaz Ishaq Khan to form a judicial commission.
He demanded that the legal obstacles in the formation of this commission be removed and it be restored.
Talking to the delegations of scholars, he said that presenting blasphemy as a business in Pakistan is in itself a great insult.
Many incidents in this regard have brought disrepute to Pakistan and Islam, so the state needs to take concrete steps to prevent misuse of the law.
He said that the facts that have come to light during the hearing of the case in the court of Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan are extremely regrettable.
Therefore, it is necessary to take this matter to its logical conclusion, because no one can be allowed to do heinous business in the name of religion.
He said that scholars of all schools of thought should take a strong stand regarding how many innocent people were killed in this country due to the slogans of a few fanatics, personal disputes, lack of understanding and poor information, including many innocent pious people. In this regard, we must play our role as a responsible society.
All this is part of history that a Sri Lankan factory manager was killed in Sialkot, several Christian settlements were burned and Pakistani families were destroyed.
Therefore, it is the responsibility of the religious and political leadership to play a responsible role so that Pakistan and Islam are not defamed in the name of religion.
Allama Sibtain Sabzwari said that a judicial commission should review all cases. Those against whom there is solid evidence should be punished, and punishing those against whom the cases are false would be a violation of the Islamic justice system.
