Karachi Has Become a Pond Due to the Incompetence of Rulers: Allama Hayat Abbas Najafi

Shiite News: President of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan Sindh, Allama Hayat Abbas Najafi, has said that due to the administrative incompetence of the rulers, the city of Karachi has taken the shape of a pond, due to which the daily lives and business activities of citizens are being severely affected. He said that the country is suffering from severe difficulties, but instead of solving public problems, the rulers are busy enjoying the pleasures of power.

In his statement, Allama Hayat Abbas Najafi said that the people of Sindh have been suffering from deprivation, lack of basic facilities, and poor governance for a long time. He warned that if the problems and complaints of the people are not addressed, their grief and anger could take the form of a public reaction. He urged the Sindh government that the recent rains have exposed the weaknesses of development projects and civic facilities, therefore emergency measures should be taken for the restoration of infrastructure in all districts and the construction of water reservoirs for effective storage and drainage of rainwater.

Allama Hayat Abbas Najafi further said that immediate repair and restoration of dilapidated government schools and hospitals is the need of the hour to provide better educational and medical facilities to the people. He demanded the establishment of industrial special economic districts and the introduction of tax-free zones to increase Sindh’s economic development and employment opportunities, so that domestic and foreign investors can be attracted. He said that the government should take immediate and effective measures for solving public problems, improving civic infrastructure, and economic development of the province so that Sindh can be put on the path of development and prosperity.
