Islamabad Police decided to monitor and investigate Deoband Madaaris

Islamabad Police has also become active after the Attock incident and has decided to tighten the grip on Madaaris. Peole visiting Madaaris will now be investigated and their data will be gathered in Police Stations. A high level meeting of police was conducted under the leadership of IG Tahir Alam in which it was decided that all the religious institutions located in the federal capital will be monitored and investigated.

IG Tahir Alam said that 329 visitors of Madaaris will be scrutinized and the data will be collected in police stations. According to the IG, there are 207 Deoband Madaaris in Islamabad where nineteen thousand one hundred (19,100) male and eight thousand four hundred (8,400) female students are studying.
