One pilgrim martyred, many injured in Shujaabad Accident

Shiite News: A pilgrim bus collided with Sher Shah Toll Plaza in Shujaabad Tehsil of Multan, Punjab, one pilgrim was martyred and 14 people were injured in the accident.

A tragic accident took place in Shujaabad, where a passenger bus collided at Sher Shah Toll Plaza, as a result of which one person was killed and 14 people, including women, were injured.

According to the rescue sources, the bus of pilgrims was going to Kohat via Sadiqabad from Iran, while the injured were shifted to Nishtar Hospital.

It should be remembered that on August 25, an accident happened to a bus of pilgrims from Iran near Buzi Top on the Makran Coastal Highway in Lasbela, where the bus fell into a ditch due to brake failure due to high speed, while 13 people were killed in the accident. People were killed and more than 30 were injured.

The police said that the bus of pilgrims was going from Iran to Punjab while the pilgrims belonged to Lahore and Gujranwala areas of Punjab.

The accident occurred in a mountainous area, about 100 kilometers (62 miles) from the nearest city of Uthal and 500 kilometers from the Iranian border city of Pashin.

Earlier on August 21, a bus of Pakistani pilgrims met with a terrible accident in the Iranian city of Yazd, as a result of which 28 people were killed.

In the CCTV footage of the accident, the speeding bus can be seen sliding several feet after overturning on the bend, the accident was allegedly caused by brake failure of the bus.
