Shiite News: Head of Jamia Urwa tul Wusqa and Tehreek Baidari Ummat e Mustafa, Allama Syed Jawad Naqvi expressed deep concern over difficulties faced by pilgrims during pilgrimages and demanded the government to establish an organized and effective system for pilgrimages in the style of Hajj.

He pointed out that the root cause of the current problems is the absence of such a system, due to which Zaireen face severe difficulties in obtaining visas, during travel, and at the borders.

These problems include inappropriate behavior of border officials, irregularities by caravan leaders and attempts by unauthorized persons to rob pilgrims.

Allama Syed Jawad Naqvi called the statement of the Minister of Religious Affairs about the disappearance of 50,000 pilgrims in Iraq and then his denial as the reason for the increase in the difficulties of the pilgrims. He said that such baseless allegations make the journey of pilgrims more dangerous.

He further said that associating people who fled the country fed up with the government’s economic policies with pilgrims shows the failure of the government itself.

Allama Naqvi also condemned harassment of pilgrims returning from pilgrimage by government agencies by labeling them as Zainabiyoun and others.

He said that this practice is a cause of additional difficulties for pilgrims, which aims to cast doubt on this sacred duty.

He said that pilgrims have the right to complete their pilgrimage without any fear. Allama Syed Jawad Naqvi expressed concern over the inappropriate government measures for the security of millions of pilgrims on the occasion of Arbaeen and demanded that their safety be ensured.
