Electricity shutdown, Govt should restore electricity in Skardu, Kazim Maisam

Shiite News: Opposition Leader Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly Kazim Maisam has said in a statement that there is darkness in Skardu city for the last 52 hours and the government has become a spectator.

The electricity of Skardu should be restored immediately, before the people come to the streets.

A technical fault can be justified but for shutting down the electricity for several days is a grave negligence and carelessness.

For the first time such long load shedding has been seen in Gilgit-Baltistan in summer. Sitting on the shoulder of this government, the mafia has also announced to move towards our minerals. A government has been imposed which no one is ready to accept.

He said that on the one hand flood disasters and on the other hand the people are suffering from the torment of load shedding.

Apart from depriving the people of Skardu, an attempt is being made to wall them up under a specific agenda.

In the month of August, FIRs against more than hundred people prove that a conspiracy is brewing.

This is a country because of the people, so why do the people poke their eyes? Those who talk about oppressing the people, remember, if you don’t change your attitude, the people will not consider you. The more someone harasses the people, the more the people will react in the same way.

People here know the art of living with dignity and respect. The people of Gilgit-Baltistan are fed up with the attitudes of the institutions and are complaining.

Even in this era, people have to protest for electricity, water, education and health, this is a collective failure.

To overcome this failure, decisions will have to be taken by the people and all departments will have to correct their functioning.
