Sheikh Qablan: Lebanon can just survive with partnership of Muslims and Christians

The Mufti of Lebanon’s Jafari sect said: We believe that Lebanon will not survive except with Muslims and Christians, and the religious and moral heritage is the greatest wealth of convergence of Muslims and Christians.

According to Shafaqna from Lebanon, Sheikh Ahmed Qablan, who was speaking today (Sunday) at a ceremony on the occasion of beginning of the new Hijri year asserted: At the internal level of Lebanon, I tell the Christian brothers that we are a family whose bread is the love of Christ and mercy of Muhammad (PBUH). The church is neighbor of the mosque, and nickname of a historical example of self-sacrifice mixed with the blood of Imam Hussein (AS) was give to the Christian. We will take no notice of Christianity and its existential weight and historical partnership among us.

He added: “The prayer of Christ and Muhammad is the title of our sanctity, and the lamp that was taken by Hazrat Zahra and Hazrat Maryam is our way and our national partnership. The issue of Lebanon’s presidency should be resolved by agreement between us and away from the logic of “conqueror and defeated” and “majority and minority” because this country lives with kindness and friendship, not with domination and monopoly.

By referring that Washington is lying in wait for Lebanon and the American history in this country is bitter and was involved in the Lebanese Civil War, the Mufti of Lebanon’s Jafari sect stated: The Lebanese Parliament represents all political forces and Nabih Berri has a historical opportunity in settlements and is able to create solutions in the volume of reconciliation of the Lebanese family; thus, national interests must be prioritized.”
