Gilgit – Following the instructions of Saudi Kingdom, PML-N government has targeted leaders of Majlis Wahdate Muslimeen (MWM) in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) by declaring them proclaimed offenders.

The government has taken this initiative just to appease Saudi and other Arab leaders, as the leaders of MWM had launched a protest in GB against the unjustified aggression on Yemen by Saudi-led coalition forces.

The names, declared proclaimed offenders, included MWM Secretary General of GB Sheikh Nayyar Abbas Mustafavi, Molana Bilal Sumairi, Ghulam Abbas and Jamal Haider.

MWM Central Political Secretary Syed Nasir Abbas Sherazi told Shiite News that Nawaz government was trying to target MWM, as the government was afraid of fame of MWM in GB. He said that MWM would upset in the upcoming Local Body elections (LB) by marking historical triumph over the opponents in Gilgit-Baltistan.

MWM had selected right people to give them party ticket for the LB polls but other political parties had nothing to satisfy the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, he said.
