Shiite News: Allama Baqir Abbas Zaidi, President Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen (MWM) Sindh, has said that in the month of Muharram, the grandson of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Sayyid al-Shuhada Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his faithful companions and his family member stood up against the corrupt government of Yazid and offered sacrifice along with their family members and their families in the path of God for the sake of the survival of the religion Islam.
With the advent of Muharram 1445 Hijri, the commemoration of the sacrifice of the grandson of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) Sayyed al-Shuhada Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his loyal companions and family members has started in the world.
Peoples belonging to different schools of thought throughout the country are finalizing the commemoration and mourning gatherings of Sayyid al-Shuhada so that they can present the condolence to the beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH) and the Lady of Heaven, Sayyida Fatima Al-Zahra (SA), their son Hazrat Imam Hussain, AS, and their family members.
He said that the lovers of Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH) and Ahlul Bayt (AS) in Pakistan have been acommemorating the martyrs before and after the establishment of Pakistan, and this process continues today with full religious devotion and enthusiasm.
He further said that all the announcements made by the government of Sindh and the city administration regarding cleanliness and sanitation are only announcements while practical measures have not been taken, which we strongly condemn.
He further said that Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslim Pakistan has established a mourning wing under the leadership of brother Zain Raza Rizvi in connection with the initiation of mourning days from the month of Muharram on behalf of Sindh province.
