10 Militants Killed in Afghan Security Operations
Two soldiers were killed in an explosion while ten militants were killed in separate military operations across Afghanistan in past 24 hours, said General Zahir Azimi, spokesman for the Ministry of Defense.
General Zahir Azimi said in a statement on Tuesday that two Afghan National Army soldiers were killed due to an explosion and enemy fires in past 24 hours. He has not specified the location of the incidents in his statement, Khaama Press reported.
Azimi added that 10 militants were also killed and two others wounded in two provinces.
The statement added that 15 different types of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were also discovered and defused by security forces during the operations in Ghazni and Paktika provinces.
