Allama Raja Nasir demands end to enforced disappearance of Shias.

Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan secretary general Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari made this demand in his telephonic address to sit-in protesters in Karachi.

The sit-in protest against enforced disappearance outside mausoleum of founder of Pakistan entered 13th day on Wednesday.

Furthermore, MWM leader said that he and the protesting families and the committee demand rule of law based on supremacy of Constitution.

He said the families of victims of enforced disappearance would always enjoy all out support of him and his MWM.

Because they have been protesting for legitimate Constitutionally-guaranteed rights.

Moreover, he also slammed the relevant officials of the government for their non-seriousness on this issue of life and death for the victims’ families.

Allama Raja Nasir said nobody has any sort of right or power to pick up our youth from their homes and subject them to enforced disappearance.

He further said that enforced disappearance amounts to disdain for Constitution.

Therefore, he exhorted that the perpetrators of enforced disappearance must comply with the Constitution of Pakistan.

The MWM leader reiterated his demand that if they have any charge, then they must act upon law which requires trial of the accused.

He demand immediate release of innocent Shias and production of those accused of any charge in the courts of law.

Furthermore, he said that any movement which calls for end to enforced disappearance of aforesaid missing Shia would be supported.

On the other hand, Joint Action Committee for Shia Missing Persons had announced to hold Ramazan-ul-Mubarak related events at the sit-in camp.

Those include: Iftari, Sehri, recitations from Quran, lectures on Quran, etc.
