Blast kills a Rangers official and injure 10 in Karachi Orangi Town today (Monday).
According to District West’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Suhai Aziz, the attack apparently directed at the Rangers personnel.

They were passing through the area in a vehicle when the bomb — fitted in a parked motorcycle — exploded.
Resultantly, three Rangers personnel and seven other people were injured.
Police and rescue team shifted them to different hospitals in the city.
However, one Rangers official succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, CTD DIG Omar Shahid Hamid said the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) had claimed responsibility for the attack through their social media account.
However, Karachiites say that outlawed takfiri terror outfits such as Lashkar Jhangvi have their network in Karachi and particularly in Orangi Town.
They might have perpetrated this crimes because they also work in tandem with all other terror groups.

Mominabad SHO Gul Mohammed Awan also confirmed of planting of the bomb in a parked motorcycle in Orangi Town-5.
He further said that the injured included one official of the Karachi Traffic Police and a constable of the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell who were passing through the area when the explosion took place.
Later, they had called a team of the bomb disposal squad to the area.
Moreover, investigators were trying to obtain CCTV footage from the site of the blast as the police’s Counter-Terrorism Department launched an investigation.
Sindh Inspector General of Police Mushtaq Ahmed Mahar also took notice of the “terror attack on Rangers mobile. He has sought a detailed report from the West SSP.
