Shia Muslims arrested after takfiri attacks on chehlum by pro-takfiri police

Pro-takfiris police and rangers launched crackdown on Shia Muslims on the anniversary of Imam Hussain (AS)’s Chehlum after the takfiri fanatics attacked Shiites to prevent them from commemorating the anniversary.

 

Three members of Shia Ulema Council were arrested in Punjab’s Taxila area and many azadars were put behind the bars in Sanghar District’s Khipro hamlet. Attack on the mourners was also reported in Kashmore district of Sindh province.

Three Shia notables namely Tabassum Shah, Mubarak Shah and Tasawur Shah were arrested for leading Chehlum-related azadari procession in Chak Muzaffarabad in Taxila. Dozens on the innocent Shia mourners were named in a false FIR (case) on the order of biased DSP Taxila who also launched crackdown on the chehlum procession on Saturday. Arrested Shiites are said to be members of the Shia Ulema Council.

Takfiri fanatics attacked azadar of Imam Hussain (AS) in Khipro’s village where police and rangers also sided with the takfiris and raided Shia mosque and Imam Bargah. They also took many innocent Shiites into custody. Takfiris wanted them not to take out Chehlum procession. Similar raids were conducted in Kashmore district where takfiri fanatics pelted the azadar with stones.
