Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) solemnly held in all over Pakistan

The Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his 72 companions was solemnly observed in all over Pakistan mainly in Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Gilgit-Skardu, Quetta, Peshawar, Parachinar and elsewhere in the country on Saturday.

Majalis were also organized to recount the unmatched sacrifices laid down by great infallible leader of Shia Islam Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions at Karbala, setting a supreme example of putting up a fight against tyranny and oppression in the face of toughest circumstances.

The main procession of Karachi that originated from Numaish Chowrangi reached Hussainian Iranian Imambargah after marching on its traditional route on M.A. Jinnah Road, Sadar, Tibet Centre and Kharadar. The mourners were bating chest raising slogan of Ya Hussain (AS). Many were carrying Islamic banners and flags (alam pak).

The participants had offered their Zohrain prayers at Imambargah Ali Raza (AS).
Similarly, the main procession of mourners that was taken out from Havaili Alif Shah culminated at Karbala Game Shah in Lahore

Though the Chehlum of Imam Hussain (AS) is observed on 20th of Safar, a procession in this regard was held a day earlier in Islamabad. The main Chehlum procession was taken out in Rawalpindi on Saturday – 20th Safar.
