Former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar adores Hazrat Ali Akbar his role model.

In an interview, renowned fast bowler shared his profound respect and reverence of Ahle Bayt (Progeny) of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

He said he adores Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), the last prophet of God and his Ahle-Bayt (AS).

Particularly, he named Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

Shoaib Akhtar revered the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), Maula Ali (AS) Bibi Fatima (AS), Imam Hassan (AS) and Imam Hussain the most.

However, he named Hazrat Ali Akbar son of Imam Hussain as his role model. (Hazrat Ali Akbar embraced martyrdom in the battle of Karbala against Umayyad tyrant Yazid’s army).

Moreover, Shoaib Akhtar said he recently reutrned from pilgrimage of Karbala and Najaf.

He noted those sacred places and shrines the places of mourning because enemies shed the blood of the sacred figures there.

Furthermore, he took pride in the fact that the holy shrine of Imam Hussain (AS) accepted him as a volunteer to serve the pilgrims.

Meanwhile, he paid tributes to Imam Hussain, while quoting Josh Maleehabadi’s poetry:
