Celebrations began soon after Isha prayers on 8th March which continued till 9th March.
His followers and adorers celebrate the birth anniversary of Amir al Maumineen on 13th Rajab according to Islamic lunar calendar.
Pakistan celebrates birth anniversary
Almost all major Shia Islamic parties and anjumans organized events.
Celebrations held from Islamabad to Karachi, from Lahore to Peshawar and Parachinar, from Quetta to Sukkur, from Rawalpindi to Thatta and from Hyderabad to Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
In Karachi, Hyderi Council and Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen jointly hosted celebrations in Saddar.
Meanwhile, Imamia Students Organisation also hosted many events to celebrate birth anniversary of commander of faithful Maula Ali (AS).
Special congregations were held at mosques and Imam Bargahs all over Pakistan.
Moreover, cake-cutting ceremonies and seminars on commander of faithful Imam Ali also held.
Speakers highlighted various aspects of the holy life of Hazrat Ali as Imam and matchless caliph or pious ruler, scholar, military commander, strategician and mystic.
They called for emulating Hazrat Imam Ali in countering conspiracies of enemies of Islam.
They also emphasised the unity of Muslims against the forces of evil.
