Pakistan extends full support to Iran while WHO lauds Iran’s preparations to prevent Coronavirus.
Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mehmood Qureshi spoke to his Iranian counterpart on Wednesday.
During telephonic conversation, he discussed the situation arising after the spread of Coronavirus.
Pakistan extends full support to Iran
According to Foreign Ministry’s statement, FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi extended Pakistan’s full support to Iran to cope with the outbreak of Coronavirus.
He said Pakistan regrets the loss of precious lives in Iran due to the epidemic outbreak.
The two sides also agreed to work together against spreading of Coronavirus.
The statement said Shah Mahmood Qureshi also thanked the Iranian Foreign Minister for highlighting the Indian atrocities against Indian Muslims.
Earlier Qureshi in a tweet message on Tuesday supported the stance of Iranian Foreign Minister. He expressed his concerns on the ongoing violence against Muslims in India.
World Health Organization lauds Iran
Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Wednesday that Iran is fully prepared to prevent coronavirus epidemic.
While speaking on the sidelines of visiting Masih Daneshvari Hospital in Tehran, WHO official appreciated the efforts made by Iranian Health Ministry in controlling coronavirus.
He said Iran enjoys considerable power in containing infectious diseases.
Iran has shown its ability in controlling disasters and crises like recent floods, he noted.
The official said bilateral and strong cooperation between related bodies and people is the most important pillar in containing illness in Iran.
The WHO representatives together with Chinese experts visited Masih Daneshvari Hospital where they saw measures taken and the services provided to control coronavirus.
