Pakistan and Iran sign MoU to enhance maritime security cooperation.
Iran Border Guards Commander Brigadier General Qassem Rezaee visited Pakistan’s port city of Karachi.
He held important meetings with senior officials of Maritime Division and the Maritime Security Agency of Pakistan.

During his visit, Pakistan and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance maritime security cooperation.
Iran’s Consul-General in Karachi Ahmad Mohammadi and Iran’s Anti Narcotics Police, officer in Pakistan Omid Sarvari also present during the meetings.
Meanwhile, Brigadier General Qassem Rezaee visited the Pakistan naval facilities. He also called on Rear Admiral Zaka Rahman, commander of the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency.
Moreover, Iranian commander also met with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.
Furthermore, the visit aimed at emphasizing on enhancing the security of maritime and water borders.
During the trip, Iranian border police commander also visited one of the Pakistani Navy patrol fleets.

Noteworthy to add there that Pakistan and Iran military to military relations have improved for sometime.
Let alone, bilateral army visits exchanges, naval viists exchanges also enhanced.
Specially, Iran Navy chief has visited Pakistan recently. Apart from Islamabad visit, he also visited navy bases in Karachi.
Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi visited naval installations and bases in Karachi to observe their operational capabilities.
On his second day of an official visit to Pakistan, the he visited technical colleges of the navy.
Iran Navy chief visits Pakistan
Senior Pakistani naval commanders and officials received Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi in Karachi.
On the occasion, Consul General of Iran in Karachi Ahmad Mohammadi also accompanied them.
Iran commander at Jinnah mausoleum
Meanwhile, Iranian navy commander paid a visit to the mausoleum of the founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
He laid a wreath at Jinnah’s tomb. He also wrote his thoughts about Jinnah in the notebook placed at the mausoleum.
Later, Iranian naval delegation visited Pakistani Navy Engineering College (PNEC), also called PNS Jauhar, naval university and Port Qasim naval base.
Mr. Khanzadi also held meetings with commanders of Pakistan’s navy college, Pakistan coastal guards and navy shipyard.
Furthermore, he discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Iran and Pakistan in the maritime sector.
Iranian naval chief had arrived in Pakistan Monday. He began his visit with a meeting with his Pakistani counterpart Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi in Islamabad.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interests and naval collaboration between the two brotherly and friendly neighbouring countries.
