Execution of Ayatollah Nimr to spark revolution against the House of Saud: Ansarullah

Hujjat al-Islam Ali al-Damani, a member of Yemen’s Ansarullah (Houthi) Movement and a cultural and political activist in the war-torn Arab country explained that the House of Saud’s legitimacy is based on its ties to the United Kingdom. “This is why we see Saudi leaders do not respect the fundamentals of religion let alone the four sacred months of Islam,” he said.

“Throughout the holy month of Rajab, they have been engaged in the killing of innocent women and children.”

The founder of Sana’a’s al-Ghadir Library stated that throughout the dark history of the House of Saud they have engaged in uncountable brutal acts, massacres and shown irreverence to the lives of people, especially the Yemeni people. “The Saudi’s recent aggression is not surprising given their long history of crimes against the Yemeni people,” he stated.

Hujjat al-Islam al-Damani stated that the claims of the House of Saud are based on the defence of the two holy shrines in Makkah and Madinah and added that they are also using these excuses to attack Yemen, but they are baseless. “The holy shrines are not the personal property of the House of Saud, so they cannot claim to be defending them. Rather, they are the property of all Muslims of the world, including the people of Yemen and Ansarullah, who all love these shrines,” he stressed.

His Eminence referred to the threats from extremist Takfiri groups to the two holy shrines, saying that if the Saudi’s are truly concerned for the holy shrines, than why do they not react to the numerous explicit statements and threats made by ISIL about destroying the holy shrines, including their threats to demolish the Ka’bah. “Their excuse for attacking Yemen and killing women and children is solely based on this false claim,” he explained.

Hujjat al-Islam al-Damani pointed to the violent and repressive actions of the Saudi regime in Yemen, as well as their crimes against their own people. He added that the House of Saud should not be immune to a lack of criticism because of their actions.

He stated the Saudi’s repressive measures against their people, particularly against the Shi’ites of Qatif, could lead to a massive revolution if they continue. The spark of this revolution will be the execution of Ayatollah al-Nimr. He added that the Saudi, as well as foreign Shi’ites, closely follow the situation and support this revered scholar.

In conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam al-Damani stressed that there is no Sunni-Shi’ite conflict in Yemen, as both Sunnis and Shi’ites have joined the Yemeni resistance against the House of Saud, emphasizing that even many Sunni scholars have issued explicit edicts in support of jihad against the Saudi invaders.
