The Israeli occupation police was Wednesday on alert in al-Quds (Jerusalem), a day after Zionist settlers raided he holy Mosque of al-Aqsa.
Scores of Israeli special forces were surrounding the mosque especially at Bab al-Maghariba gate, where all Muslim worshippers under 45 were obliged to leave the place.
Earlier on Tuesday, clashes between Palestinians and Israelis took place as Zionist settlers raided the mosque and performed their religious rituals in it.
The clashes witnessed fist fights between the Palestinians and the occupation police who defended the settlers and secured their exit.
During the clashes, Israeli occupation soldiers arrested four journalists, a TV photographer and an activist.
Al-Aqsa Foundation for Endowment and Heritage released a statement in which it said that some 30 Jewish settlers broke into the mosque’s Bab al-Maghariba gate.
