The relevant military authorities are making plans to transfer the cases of all terrorists arrested and referred to the military courts. They will transfer such cases to the federal government.

Experts said that the extension in military courts term require a constitutional amendment.

Legal experts have opined that the government would have to transfer such cases to sessions courts or antiterrorism courts.

Constitutional authorities nodded military courts

The constitutional authorities have approved the military courts under the National Action Plan (NAP) in 2015 to try civilians on terrorism charges.

But, it ceased to function after their second two-year constitutional term expired at the end of March because of no extension.

 

What next?

Government and the parliamentary inaction may impact counterterrorism actions badly. Many believes that military courts abolition will encourage terrorists and their facilitators.

Furthermore, another important point has it military courts speedy justice, conviction and execution play cardinal role to scare terrorists.

People demand more

Pleasingly, people have been urging the government and the parliament to take needed decision immediately. They want end to uncertainty.

Factually speaking, people detest terrorism, extremism and promoters of that ideology of intolerane and hatred.

Because, they want to see terrorists hanged without delay. Certainly, people want justice.

Government-Parliament must end confusion 

Surprisingly, federal government and parliament has fallen to confusion.

Unfortunately, they are not doing what heirs of great martyrs of Pakistan and people want them to do.

As a matter of fact, people will protest if government fails to take needed decision.

Besides, heirs of victims of terrorism will react angrily; terefore, government must feel pressure.
