PPP also agree on two-year extension of military courts

The Parliamentary parties including Pakistan People’s Party have agreed on a two-year extension for military courts. The consensus over the extension of the military court developed during a meeting of the parliamentary parties held in Islamabad yesterday.

National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, chaired the meeting of the parliamentary parties and revealed that consensus been reached on four out of nine points presented by PPP.
He let it be known at the meeting that the bill regarding extension of military courts for two years will be tabled in National Assembly on Monday.
Minister for Finance, Senator Ishaq Dar let it be known at the occasion that all the political parties have agreed to further amend the constitution in order to revive military courts for two years.
PPP leader Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan professed that his party has agreed to a two-year extension of the military courts as the ruling party accepted our basic points.
