Allama Sajid Naqvi rejects superficial measures in the name of change

Eminent Shia Islamic scholar and founder of Shia Ulema Council Pakistan Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi has turned down the repetition of oft-repeated superficial and cosmetic measures being adopted during the tenure of incumbent PTI-led government.

Talking to delegations who called on him at his office, he cited that former PML-N government in Punjab province had changed the uniform of police to show that it would change the cops too. He said now PTI government talks of reversal of that decision of their predecessors under same slogan that it would make police people-friendly.
“Chan cannot come through cosmetics steps. Concrete measures, even-handed accountability and reward for good and punishment for wrongdoing and evils will make Pakistan impregnable and prosperous,” he said.
Allama Naqvi said that government needs to refrain from oft-repeated superficial measures and put country on right track through concrete, fair and transparent policy. He said it would also help bring in economic prosperity and political stability in Pakistan. Otherwise, allegations of political victimizations would continue to tarnish the image of Pakistan, he alerted.
