Rizwan Kazmi case: LHC summons IG Punjab Police CCPO Lahore

Lahore High Court has summoned Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab and Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore on November 14 to hear them regarding Rizwan Kazmi who has gone missing since October 27, 2018.

Kazmi’s wife Syeda Saadia had filed a petition in the LHC informing the court that his spouse had been kidnapped by people clad in police uniform near Chungi Amar Sihdu on Ferozepur Road Lahore on October 27, 2018. Since then, his whereabouts have not been made known.
Lawyer Fida Hussain Rana represented the petitioner in the bench of the LHC comprising of Justice Sarfaraz Dogar. The IGP Punjab and CCPO Lahore have been summoned to inform the court regarding whereabouts of Kazmi whose wife has sought his recovery without any delay.
Rizwan Kazmi is now affiliated with Allama Jawad Naqvi’s Jamia Urwatul Wusqa. He had also served Imamia Students Organisation as its central president in the past.
