MWM leader criticizes govt for tormenting people in the name of security

Allama Mubashir Zaidi, deputy secretary general, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, Karachi chapter, has criticized the government and security agencies for creating multiple problems for people in the name of security arrangements.

Talking to members of the Azadari Cell in Karachi, he said, it was inappropriate to close the cities through blockade by laying containers on main roads and suspending cell phone services. He said that such measures create multiple problems for people and these are not needed in the name of security.
“Shia Muslims are not alone in observing Muharram azadari. Sunnis and even Christians and Hindus commemorate the Martyrs of Karbala and their leader Imam Hussain,” Allama Mubashir said.
He asked government to focus on those terrorists and fanatics who are sworn to destroy peace and such elements should be eliminated. He urged that peaceful citizens should not be subjected to mental torture by uncalled for blockades and suspension of cell phone signals. He said Shia Muslims were the prime victims of the government measures which are adopted in the name of security.
